I'm impressed with how colorful the buildings seem, and what distinctive architecture they have in general, official or residential. Reminds me a little of a cross between Miami, New Orleans and San Francisco -- which, now that I think about it, have probably the most flamboyant and distinctive architecture in this country, so no wonder I'd think of those towns. Also there's the shared Victorian-era architectural influences for both SF and Singapore, I guess.
